Get Assistance from Valley Community Pantry

“We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.” – Mother Teresa

Community Pantry is here to help you!

The Pantry is primarily an emergency food bank, however we do have other resources from time to time to help with issues such as shelter and utilities. We also have the ability to refer you to the appropriate resource if we do not have what you need available.

The Community Pantry is committed to being open Monday – Thursday except holidays from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm to respond to all requests for emergency food from anyone who is seeking such help. The Community Pantry is also ready to help, if funds are available, when assistance is needed: at time of eviction; at a time of utilities shut-off; at a time of need for emergency housing; or when a referral is needed to another helping agency because of particular troubling circumstances. Doors close at 11:30 am and may close early without notice so please arrive early.

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
