Financial Help Provided: Financial Assistance




Full Description:

To Apply for Financial Assistance, arrive by:
9AM on Mon., Tue., or Thur.
Bring all of the above documents plus these:
-All monthly bills documented
-Bank journal for last 2 months
-Proof of income for last 2 months
-Lease agreement or mortgage statement
-Documents pertaining to illness, unemployment, and other proof of hardship
(Bringing these items does not guarantee service but expedites the application process.)
All applicants for financial aid will be entered into a drawing to determine who will be able to meet with a service coordinator that day.

For All Assistance, Bring These Things With You:
(These items are all you need to apply for food, clothing or medical help; for financial aid, bring these plus items listed in next section)
-Driver's license or other picture ID for yourself and all people age 18 or older in household
-Social Security card originals for yourself and all children & adults living with you - copies cannot be accepted
-Proof of address, such as a utility bill mailed to you in the last 30 days at the address you are claiming as home
-Pay stub or other proof of income

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
