Emergency Housing Assistance
Lack of affordable housing, a difficult economy, and the high cost of living have left many people without a roof over their heads.  Many of Georgia's homeless work full-time yet cannot afford housing, and thousands of families struggle to pay rent.
Our knowledgeable staff work with clients to give them assistance and skills they need to maintain their households or find new housing that is safe and affordable.  They provide prevention, stabilization, and case management services to ensure that housing is sustained and families can work towards other family career and educational goals.
For more information about our emergency housing assistance program in your county, call your local Human Resource Development Center.

Energy/Utility Assistance
LIHEAP is a program that Tallatoona provides to all qualifying low-income families, disabled individuals and elderly in our eight county service delivery area.  The LIHEAP funds can assist with starting new heating services, paying tank rentals and/or delivery, and to stop the disconnect of heating services.  The funds can also assist in situations where the account is current as long as the household applies, qualifies, and is approved.

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
