Seminole County

Hours: Mondays through Fridays 9am - 2pm.

Must have income at or below 125% of the federal poverty level

Provides emergency financial assistance for rent/utilities to residents of the service area.

- Home Rehabilitation Services
- Indigent Transportation
- Medical Appointments Transportation
- Mortgage Payment Assistance
- Ramp Construction Services
- Rent Payment Assistance
- Water Service Payment Assistance

Emergency services are provided to assist those who have experienced a loss of income or unexpected expense beyond their control with payment of rent, mortgage, utility bills, deposits, food, and provision of shelter to prevent cut-offs, minimize malnutrition, and circumvent incidences of eviction and homelessness.  Individuals are required to document all income and expenses for the household and demonstrate the ability to pay all future household bills without assistance.

The following items are required to verify eligibility:
- Verification of Social Security Numbers (cards) for all household members
- Verification of all income coming into the household (all members age 18 or older) for the past 30 days
- Current statements for services requested (utility, rent, and/or mortgage)
- Additional items as requested

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
