Financial Help Provided: Renta Assistance, Utility Assistance




Full Description:

Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10am-2pm
Tuesday: 6 pm - 8 pm
Saturday: 10am - 12 noon.

We offer the following services to families living in Norcross and surrounding areas of Gwinnett County, Georgia.
We serve as many people as possible on a first come, first served basis.
We frequently reach capacity before or early in each shift, so you need to arrive early

When funds are available, we provide financial aid for:
Rent
Utilities
Prescription medication

For rent and utility assistance, we provide the last $100. If the amount due is less than $100, we provide only the amount due. The rent/utility must be late or due within 5 days. If you owe more than $100, you must show the difference in a money order or paid receipt.

For rent and utility assistance please bring:
    your photo ID
    a current lease contract in your name
    the utility bill in your name (we only help with electricity, gas and water bills)


For prescription medication please bring:
    your photo ID
    current proof of address in our service area
    the prescription or prescription bottles with a refill

We cannot fill prescriptions for some controlled substance drugs

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
