Temporary Assistance (TA), Food Stamps (FS), Medical Assistance (MA), Family Planning Benefit Program, Family Health Plus, Medicare Savings Program (Buy-IN), Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), Child Support Collection Unit (SCU), Adult Services, Foster Care, Adoption Services, Child Protective, Child Preventive, Domestic Violence, Homemaker/Personal Care Services (PC), Expanded In Home Service for the Elderly (EISEP), Informational and Referral Child Care, Summer Youth Program (SYP), and Job Opportunity & Basic Skills Program (JOBS).



- Temporary Assistance: Payments for shelter, fuel and basic needs. Recipients' income and resources must fall within specified limits, and if employable, recipients must participate in employment programs.
- Emergency Assistance may be available to other households facing life-threatening situations due to sudden and unexpected circumstances.
- Medical Assistance: Provides access to recipients to participating providers for a wide range of medical services. The income and resources of applicants are compared to varying standards, dependent upon household circumstances, age of applicants and medical condition.
- Food Stamps: Assistance to households for purchase of food. Eligibility is subject to income and resource tests.

Location: Lockport Office, 20 East Avenue, Lockport, NY

Walk-in Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.- 3:45 p.m.

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
