Processes applications for financial assistance programs such as CalWORKs, Food Stamps, Medi-Cal, the County Medical Services Program (CMSP) and General Assistance.

CalWORKs provides cash assistance for families with children who lack sufficient income due to incapacity, unemployment or absence of a parent.

Medi-Cal provides medical care for the aged, the disabled, those under 21 years of age and the parents of children deprived of parental support due to absence, incapacity or unemployment.

CMSP provides medical and dental expense assistance for those who are ineligible for Medi-Cal.

The CalFresh Program (formerly known as Food Stamp Program or SNAP) provides eligible applicants with a special debit card that may be used in participating grocery stores to supplement the household food supply. Some households may receive Non-Assistance Food Stamps (NAFS) without qualifying for other programs.

The General Assistance program provides cash aid to assist clients until they are able to attain self-sufficiency. Eligibility is based on a number of factors, such as income, property, assets and ability to be employed.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
