The Leviticus 25:23 Alternative Fund, Inc. is a not-for-profit community development loan fund that channels financial resources into low-income areas to help create affordable and supportive housing, community-based facilities and child care centers in the New York metropolitan area. Leviticus was founded in 1983 by faith-based groups active in the Tri-State (NY, NJ, CT) Coalition for Responsible Investment. Since its founding, Leviticus has provided over $28 million in financing to economically-distressed communities, supporting projects valued at over $210 million. Leviticus lends only to nonprofit organizations serving low-income communities, and works to provide the capital and technical assistance that strengthens community-based efforts to build housing and community facilities that are high-quality, affordable and accessible.
