Financial Help Provided: Utility Assistance, Holiday Assistance, Food assistance for seniors




Full Description:

We provide short term emergency assistance with basic needs of food, clothing, and limited amounts of utility assistance to prevent disconnection of services for families facing a sudden unexpected crisis. Other services include: resource information and referrals for networking purpose to better serve our clients.

Services are available Monday through Friday; office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Holiday Assistance

During the holiday season, we provide Food Baskets for low income individuals and families in crisis.

We partner with Elf Louise Christmas Toy Project taking Applications for families who need help with toys.

Our goal is to bring some holiday joy into the lives of Low income individuals, families and children.

Senior Services Program

In this program we offer to low income senior citizens, 60 years and older, an opportunity to eat nutritious, well-balanced noon meals, served in a congregate setting. Additionally, seniors will find a welcoming and friendly environment to socialize with peers, and participate in educational and recreational group activities.

Activities include: arts and crafts, quilting, sewing, table games, bingo, choir, computer classes, movie time, special event celebrations, field trips and more.

Supportive services offered include: transportation (immediate area), weekly shopping assistance, exercise, as well as health and safety awareness activities.

Services are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.
