Financial Assistance Funds
 
The Healthcare Consortium maintains various Financial Assistance Funds to provide payment, on behalf of eligible recipients, for health-related and other expenses.   Two such funds, the Columbia County Community Cancer Fund and the Greene County Community Cancer Fund, are used to offset the financial burden associated with a cancer diagnosis.  Monies from these funds are used to pay for health-related expenses such as health insurance premiums, co-pays, coinsurance and deductibles. They may also be used to pay for other household expenses, such as rent, utility payments, and vehicle fuel.  To receive financial assistance from the appropriate fund, individuals are asked to complete a brief application, and speak with the Fund Manager to discuss all of the options and resources that may be available.
