Full Description:

Serving those in need in Columbia County through our Christian faith and resources.

We provide help with food, clothing, household goods, medications, transient transportation and partial help with utilities. We also have a resale gift shop open two days a week with all proceeds used to purchase food.. Each year we hold special events to give Christmas toys and Christmas baskets, back to school shoes and hold garage sales.
The center works inter-denominationally with local churches as well as other service agencies to accomplish our mission.

The Center has limited funds to help clients who qualify with power bills, water bills, kerosene, propane, gas, medicines and bus tickets to the next largest town. We screen our clients carefully to assure we are using our funds wisely.

Provides assistance for the needy. Services include:
utility assistance
rental assistance
travel assistance
bus tickets
baby items
household items
disaster assistance
spiritual guidance

Donations Needed: The Christian Service Center relies on financial contributions from individuals, churches, and businesses to fund the operations of the center. Without this support we cannot purchase food, cover operating costs and give financial assistance. Monetary contributions can be made at any time through the center, mail or on our website (via Paypal account).

Tips For Prompt And Professional Assistance
1. Make an appointment - Always attempt to make an appointment. Oftentimes this will save you hours waiting in lines. When on the phone make sure you ask for the documentation needed in order to receive assistance.

2. Do not be late for your appointment - This tip should speak for itself.

3. Dress appropriately - If you want to be treated with respect, dress as appropriately as possible. We are not saying wear a suit. Just make sure you and your clothes are clean and non offensive. We have found that clients who dress in this manner have a better chance of receiving aid.

4. Bring all pre determined documentation - Bring all of the documents you were advised to bring from your appointment phone call. Without them, you will not receive aid.

Mission Statement
To help the needy find financial aid and assistance. This nation is going through tough times and providing a helping hand can help make the world a better place.
