Financial Help Provided: Electric Bill Payment Assistance
We are a non-profit Community Action Agency that provides a wide range of services to low and moderate-income residents in upstate South Carolina.
Community Economic Opportunity Department (CEOD) provides *cooling assistance (May 15 - September 30) including air conditioners, electric bill assistance, and fans for seniors, *heating assistance (October 1 - April 30) for primary heating source of coal, electricity, fuel oil, kerosene, natural gas, propane gas, or wood, *job skills training (prefer GED or HS diploma already obtained), *LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program), *medication/ prescription expense assistance, *rent or mortgage assistance, *shoes, *The Benefit Bank (TBB), *transitional housing for people experiencing homelessness (Change Program), *utility bill payment assistance, and *utility deposit assistance **ONLY for individuals who are homeless and securing a place to live**.
